The iconic Alan Shearer has sounded the alarm bells regarding Nick Woltemade, the club's record-breaking signing. Shearer believes Woltemade's recent performances have raised concerns, especially in the eyes of manager Eddie Howe.

Shearer, a Newcastle legend, is worried that Woltemade's style doesn't align with Howe's high-energy, pressing philosophy. He questions the decision to play Anthony Gordon as a center forward, suggesting Woltemade hasn't lived up to expectations. The former striker also points out that Woltemade's lack of mobility hinders Newcastle's ability to press and dominate games, as they did during their most successful periods.
