This deep dive wasn't just about appreciating history; it was about breathing new life into it. Her groundbreaking endeavor? To reimagine some of Bulgari's most celebrated jewelry pieces as a stunning collection of minaudières, aptly named Icons. These aren't just bags; they're wearable legacies.
This exquisite collection features five limited-edition bags, each available in two distinct sizes. They are masterful interpretations of Bulgari's most recognizable motifs: the Monete coin, echoing ancient Greek and Roman artistry; the sinuous Serpenti, forever linked to the allure of Elizabeth Taylor; the elegantly fluid Tubogas; the graceful fan-shaped Divas' Dream; and the signature circular Bulgari Bulgari with its distinctive logo.
Katrantzou beautifully articulates the essence of this transformation: “My research evolved into an exploration of how a piece of jewelry can transform into a functional accessory,” she explains, “while an accessory can, in turn, feel like a precious jewel in your hand.” It's a sentiment that truly captures the spirit of luxury redefined.
